Founding Partner of EXP Legal – Professional Association, he carries out his professional activity for private and public financial institutions in the fields of commercial and corporate law, corporate insolvency, and private international law.

He has worked in leading Italian and international law firms, in particular: from 1985 to 2014 he was Partner in the law firms Dalla Vedova, Frere Cholmeley Bischoff Associated Law Firm, Pirola Pennuto Zei, and served as of counsel to CFMP. In 2015 he founded EXP Legal.

The experience gained over the years in commercial and corporate law, mainly in an international context, also thanks to an extensive network of professional collaborations within the International Lawyers Network—where he is co-chair of the special restructuring-insolvency group—has contributed to establishing him as a benchmark of excellence. This includes the negotiation and drafting of domestic and international commercial contracts such as sales, distribution, and agency agreements.

In the field of corporate crisis and insolvency, he has been a consultant to the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (formerly the Ministry of Economic Development) for thirty years, and he acts as Liquidation Commissioner and Government Commissioner for companies. He has served as a member of the Supervisory Committee of the Condotte S.p.A. group under extraordinary administration.

He has been appointed by IVASS as Liquidation Commissioner in significant compulsory administrative liquidation procedures of insurance companies, and by the Bankruptcy Court of Rome as Receiver. He has also served as a member of Boards of Directors and Statutory Boards of Auditors of commercial companies.

He professionally managed the implementation in Italy of the cross-border insolvency regulation concerning the MG Rover automotive group, assisting the Commissioners appointed by foreign judicial authorities, and he obtained, through the Chamber of Commerce (CCIAA), the qualification of expert in negotiated crisis settlement procedures.

In the private client sector, he assists Italian and international clients in inheritance matters and contract law, particularly in relation to property and personal enjoyment rights. He has gained significant experience in the administration of family and personal assets, including those of individuals with limited legal capacity, having been appointed by the Guardianship Judge and having obtained authorization to act as a Support Administrator.

Within his professional areas, he conducts litigation before both trial courts and the Supreme Court of Cassation, being admitted to practice before the Supreme Court.

He also has experience in arbitration and litigation, corporate restructuring, as well as generational transfers and trusts.

He has published numerous articles in Italian and international journals, with particular focus on cross-border and international aspects of insolvency law, and has authored several books for prestigious publishers. He has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences in Italy and abroad and has served as President of INSOL Europe, of which he is currently an honorary member.

He is part of the Business Internationalization Department, assisting clients in expanding their presence in foreign markets.
