Giorgio Cherubini
Founding PartnerFounding Partner of EXP Legal – Associazione Professionale, he provides legal assistance in the field of commercial and corporate law, business crises and private international law.
He has been previously Partner in important Italian and international law Firms, in particular: from 1985 to 2014 he was Partner of the law Firms: Dalla Vedova, Frere Cholmeley Bischoff, Pirola PennutoZei and held the role of counsel in CFMP, finally being a Founding Partner of EXP Legal established in 2015.
His long-standing experience in the field of commercial and corporate law, mainly internationally, also thanks to the dense network of professional collaborations represented by the network of firms gathered in the International Lawyers Network, has contributed to making him a reference of excellence, also through the negotiation and drafting of national and international commercial contracts such as sales, distribution, agency.
In the business crisis sector, he has been a consultant for the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, formerly the Ministry of Economic Development, for about thirty years and works as Liquidator and Government Commissioner of companies; he held the position of Member of the Supervisory Committee of Gruppo Condotte spa in extraordinary administration proceedings.
He was appointed by IVASS as Liquidator in important administrative compulsory liquidation procedures of companies in the insurance sector and by the Bankruptcy Court of Rome as Receiver; he also served as a member of the Board of Directors and Boards of Statutory Auditors of commercial companies.
He professionally oversaw the implementation in Italy of the Regulation on the transnational insolvency of the MG ROVER automotive group, assisting the Commissioners appointed by the foreign Judicial Authority and obtained the title of expert for the negotiation settlement of the crisis from the Chamber of Commerce.
In the area of private clients, he assists Italian and foreign clients in estate matters and contracts, in particular in the field of beneficial and personal rights. He gained a significant experience in the administration of family and individual assets, even of subject with limited legal capacity, receiving the assignment from the Tutelary Judge and having obtained the authorization to operate as legal guardian.
In his professional fields, he carries out judicial activities, both before the courts of merit and the Court of Cassation, being registered in the Register of Lawyers at the Court of Cassation.
He also has experience in arbitration and litigation, corporate reorganization as well as in matters of generational transfers and trusts.
He has published numerous articles for Italian and foreign magazines, with particular regard to the cross-border and international profiles of the business crisis and has written numerous books for prestigious publishing houses; he has participated as a speaker in many conferences in Italy and abroad and was President of INSOL EUROPE, of which he is currently an honorary member.
He is part of the Corporate Internationalization Department, representing clients interested in expanding their presence in foreign jurisdictions.
